Do you love capturing a homeowner's vision, pitching inspired design concepts, and mentoring others to do the same? As Director of Sales, you will both produce and lead. You will actively sell and design projects while developing and guiding Senior Designers and Interior Designers to elevate their sales performance and client experience. This is a hands-on revenue leadership role accountable for company-wide sales growth and design excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Directly lead the sales process by creating and pitching design concepts to clients in the MN office. Personally selling a portion of the office sales until growing the office to not have to sell.
- Assist Senior Designers and Interior Designers with construction notes, 2D & 3D renderings, and material selections company-wide.
- Train and develop the design team in relational sales, rapport-building, vision capture, and trust-based closing company-wide
- Generate new ideas to enhance the homeowner experience after mastering the "FBC Way."
- Lead weekly design team meetings
- Demonstrate strong active listening to delight homeowners
Qualifications
- 4 or more years of experience in sales, construction planning, and/or interior design
- 4 or more years of experience with accountability for the whole company's sales performance.
- Strong understanding of blueprints, construction notes, and estimates
- Proficiency in Chief Architect (required working knowledge before start date). Familiarity with 20/20, Revit, and AutoCAD is a plus.
- Proven leadership aptitude and coaching ability

- Desire to execute the FBC Remodel design/sales process

- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
Performance Expectations
- First 9+ months: Function in the Senior Designer role in MN Office
- Expected sales target of approximately $333,000 per month in closed project value, based on historical top-performer benchmarks and company-supported leads.
- Midway through onboarding: Fully accountable for total company design sales growth
Pay and Benefits
- Full-time, W-2 Employment
- Base Salary: $100,000-$120,000 annually
Commission Structure:
- 1% of total personal sales revenue (as defined by closed, executed contracts)
- Teired sales commission on the company hitting goals.
- Paid quarterly
- Begins after a 90-day onboarding period
- Commission: $60,000-$100,000 annually (performance-based)
- On-Target Earnings (OTE): $160,000-$220,000 annually
